While the Covid Pandemic has turned the world topsy-turvy, it particularly threw RAZA’s multifarious activities into a mire of despair.
The school until last year was run in a rented premises. But now a new seven-storied building is coming up to accommodate the school. The construction which began in February 2019 and was to be completed by June 2020is unfinished due to Covid and the delay has caused tremendous hardship to the management of RAZA. Lockdown in March to May 2020 has resulted not only in delay but also put RAZA in to a financial crisis. RAZA has to double its efforts to finish the construction if it were to start the coming academic year in the new premises.
With livelihoods taken away by lockdown measures owing to Covid, the parents were unable to pay the nominal school fees leaving the teachers to take heavy pay cuts. However, the dedicated teachers remained with the organization even it meant foregoing their remunerations.
Covid also has caused many sponsors to pull out their support to RAZAadding to their already miserable financial situation.
The paramount challenge faced by RAZA and its staff is to mobilize and get funds to sustain their efforts to run the organization.
